Dj BigBeatz officially became a Outaker in 2009. He started buying vinyl in 2001 at the age of 16 and like many dj’s he spent hours in his bedroom on his decks. His first break was on Flava fm in 2004. Dogzilla had helped Bigbeatz to get on the station but he lost contact with Dogz, then after 6 months the station went off air and it was back to bedroom sets.
A year later Bigbeatz met up with Dogzilla again and started doing bedroom sets with Dogz and the rest of the Outakers. In 2008 Bigbeatz got a set on Klash fm. The O.T crew no longer had a set on Rinse Fm so Bigbeatz invited the crew onto his show. The Outakers appeared as frequent guests on the Bigbeatz show for the next 6 months.
Then in April 2009 outakers dj/producer Shotz got in touch with the Rinse Fm management and they ask Bigbeatz to submit a demo cd, a week later Bigbeatz got a phone call telling him he had a trial show on rinse fm, he’s never missed a show since that day.
“I would like to big up everyone that locks into my show every week and also everyone that is supporting me and the rest of the O.T crew. Watch out for all the material coming in 2010 and the future! Also, I would like to big up dogzilla, devlin, deeperman, shotz, mikee da manager and all the rest of the crew for bringing me into the crew and giving me the chance to get where I am today, it’s O.T till the day I die!”
